Welcome to Cycle Europe 2008
Almost Home……
Hello and welcome to the final few days of Cycle Europe
2008!
On Thursday 18th September 2008 the final leg of Cycle
Europe 2008 will take place with the 52 miles from Brighton
to The InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane, London marking
the end of the epic 3400 mile cycle trip that Marco and I
have undertaken.
The experience since we left on June 19th has been an amazing one. Sometimes painful, often hilarious and on occasions emotional, it has been a journey of extremes. At one end we spent the weekend with the Prime Minister of Slovenia, drank champagne at the HQ of Laurent Perrier and stayed at some wonderful hotels en route. At the other we camped night after night, woke in wet tents most morning, ate breakfast in supermarket car parks and fought fatigue as we tried to stay on schedule.
The response we have received around Europe has been wonderful but we still have work to do on the fundraising front. Marco and I have ridden every meter of the 3331 miles that we have covered but we are still some way off the goal of £20,000 I set as our target. To date we have about £13,000 but I am confident we can make the extra £7,000 with your help.
Please either donate now by credit card by pressing the donate button at the top of the page, alternatively if you prefer you can send cheques made out directly to Different Strokes to Jon Bradshaw, 28 Lawrence Rd, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 5QB or finally why not bid for one of the amazing items on the auction page? With items from Formula 1 racing memorabilia and a selection of items from the travel industry you could pick up a bargain whilst helping Stroke survivors.
Thanks for your help,
Jon
