Welcome to Cycle Europe 2008
We made it!
With a huge amount of pride I can announce that Cycle Europe 2008 is over!
The final total distance that Marco and I have cycled since leaving London in June is 3391 miles (5456 km) and on 18th September we had the pleasure of riding with my brother in law Steve as well as other friends from Brighton to London where the ride officially finished. We were welcomed by The InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane where we enjoyed a wonderful champagne reception the photos from which can be found by clicking one of the photographs towards the bottom of the page.
Because of the incredible support we have received from both individuals and companies, I am delighted to announce that we have also beaten our charity fundraising target of £20,000. At the time of writing the total stood at just over £20,500 but we still have money coming in. This is a huge achievement so thank you to everyone who supported us.
The site will be left open until the New Year for those who wish to review photos and read the blog.
I hope you have been able to share some of our amazing experiences over the summer. Cycle Europe 2008 was an adventure that Marco & I will never forget but more importantly will make a direct impact of the lives of young stroke victims across Europe whose therapy will be funded by the money raised.
